Celebrate earth and accelerate the transformation

Today is earth day and this knowledge database goes online. This is supposed to be a platform whenever the topic of climate transformation in companies is on the agenda and a question of understanding pops up. Short articles that take a maximum of three minutes to read, different aspects, concepts, ideas and news are collected. This should serve the mission to make the economy climate-neutral until 2050 and to cut the CO2 emissions in half until 2030. Any information necessary for this purpose should be available quickly, easily understandable and free of charge. What is earth day?

On April 22, 1970, 20 million people took to the streets in the USA to demonstrate for more environmental protection. This first Earth Day was initiated by then US Senator Gaylord Nelson, who also wanted to use this environmental action day to make people rethink their own consumer behaviour. This first Earth Day is regarded as the starting signal of the worldwide environmental movement. Since 1990, “Earth Day” has been an international day of action in which people in more than 150 countries participate.
